In all candor, Samuel, the image is so strikingly original and dramatic, the mismatched seagulls diminish it. I hope you rework it; if you're looking for a focal point, I honestly believe the birds only hurt.
Thanks for the tip Tracy, you now this is one of my first work in PS so i really appreciate your comment. I was thinking to rework it and then also turn the TV around little bit more and make it lighter. Now i have something to "put my teeth in" as we say in Sweden.
I am new to the sight and I'dd like to say very creative. Good work in using distort and perspective change. I do also agree with the seagles. Maybe bring out the cloud to the point of drifting out of the screen more. It defiantly makes me think of things in a different perspective.
True about the gulls. Also, the proportions on the waterfall coming from the TV compared to the waves seems a bit off. Like the waterfall and the trees seem too small when compared to the waves??? Can't really tell... Very creative though. I love it.
Two main headlines to analyze.1)Technically;the sky's light doesnt match with the one of the ground(which i think its "sea") thats the only thing.2)Message; tells something, but its message is too hidden for someone who has at least an average IQ ! So i think its a very good work ; ) it has a class.
Way to think outside the box! I.Q. has nothing to do with creativity. I must agree about the seagulls. Maybe try a different (darker maybe) image of the birds. Good idea on lightening the image. Great work all in all!
This is great, but I agree with the earlier comments about the seagulls. Everything else stands perfectly its own. I'd guess the seagulls are there to reinforce the naturality of the interaction, but I think they're visually distracting, mostly because I don't know what the appropriate scale for the birds should be given the size of the TV and size of the waves. They're also conceptually redundant: the water spilling out of the TV does the job just right on its own.
Anyway, great concept, great retouch, great work.
As a fan of your Attic, I'd be interested to see the same concept in a more bleak or ironic setting. Wasteland and (eye) candy shop come immediately to mind. ;)
