that sky is quite sureal! magical indeed.
there's such a feel of menace here... it's very intense. love how the clouds blend in the depth of the mountains. love the strong light and the dark atmosphere it create. wonderfull contrast with all these shade of dark, deep blue. a great capture. Wish I could have been there^^

The bright clouds in the background really offset the somber mood of the foreground. Definitely a keeper.

After you've posted on more than one of mine, I just had to check out your stuff, and lo and behold, I had before! This image stuck out in my mind the first time I saw it as being one of my favorites on the site (so far, as I'm sure I haven't even DENTED the images on here). I love the atmosphere in this shot, the balance of the lines of the trees with the lines of the trails of mist...it really makes the chiseled features of a mountain more blurred and soft than usual.
