On the Caramulo mountain ( Portugal), we can see doors like this...and people live inside this house.

Dear Cesar, this photo made me rather philosophical but are you certain that this is not a pigsty ? I do trust in your understanding of my philosophical (ie sarcastic) sense of humour. How old are these homes? from the looks of it people have been in this dwelling for a hundreds of years or more. Looks very ancestral.
