this is a great photo journalism, so real and touching, how many people live like that, and they are happy, while other people think they have everything and they are just living complaining about silly things....great image, :)
I lived that life style before. Ten houses small village in the heart of the Nile delta. Basically, you only have Radio running by Battery, and small TV also powered by battery for 2 to 3 hours a day. No electricity No cars just Nature around you and beautiful landscape. I did not compare between the "Modern City life" and that natural living style until I taste the better of the city. What I see now, we have lots of things around us everywhere to make us busy all day, week, month and life long.
This photo: Simple life ... Happy people!
You captured a quality that I remember an artist referring to as...this is a paraphrase but I think it captures the idea..."Art is taking the everyday ordinary and bring out / showing the beauty." You made her look lovely. Job well done! Thankyou for your photo and for sharing.
Hello Khaled...once again your post such feelings . Her face looks soft and has a smile. Is she shelling dried beans of some kind? Is she a woman who lives in the streets? She has sort of comfortable bed like thing she is sitting on, and she seems to be wearing a kind of a nightgown? Maybe she is in front of where she lives. I try to think what might be happening in your photos. I get so much out of them. The woman looks healthy. Yes the simple life often gives much more happiness than the fancy one. Thank you once again for yur posting, I always look forward to each one of them my friend!
Khaled, another great photo from you my friend. It must have been early in the morning when this was taken. Very unusual looking beans she's shelling. Nice to see a smile on her face. Even though I assume she probably lives in a one room house she seems contented with what she has.She really looks like a beautiful soul whos' main job is to take care of her family. Her face looks so gentle- no wrinkles that I can see. She's a beautiful woman and probably doesn't even realize it. Thank you for sharing......... Eileen
She is shelling dried Beans in a small room in her big house. She has three sons, one daughter, eight grandkids and 2 grand grand sons. :)
What a Wonderful life in clean nature.
She is a member of my big family in Tanta, Egypt. Always has a smile on her face with loving peaceful attitude.
I do not know what Fava beans are...but I have had pastries from Egypt...from good friends..and they were amazing....like nothing we have here in our bakeries!
Amazing...your friend has that sweet smile...even while working and sitting on a stone floor! And to think I complained because our "swiffer" needed new replacement parts. Ouch!
I AGREE WITH YOU...HAVING A SIMPLE LIFE GIVES THE PEOPLE THE PEACE THAT THEIR HEARTS SCREAM FOR.....SO DO THE ONES THAT LIVE IN THE CITY......GREAT SHOT AND THEME! WHERE ARE YOU FROM?
Great title! Peaceful it is. I admire those who live like this. I would love to some day, on my own farm growing my own food. =)
Great photo dear!
Peace and understanding always,
Nessa
