Taken in Scotland, and yes the "Spittal of Glenshee" really does exist! (this photo shows the area around it)

There are three colours, Ten digits and seven notes, its what we do with them that’s important. Ruth Ross

Yeah, it was the shadows which struck me too. Sady the sun wasn't out in most of my other pics up there:-( The snow was 3 feet deep in places, which was "interesting" to say the least!

WOW! Such movement. I feel as if I am there, all frozen-faced with aching lungs and stinging eyes. Grand.

Hello Nick....Yes mate...The Spittal of Glenshee does exist...I pass through it everytime I go to Braemar for my holidays....This is a wonderful capture of this area...The angle you have taken this one leads your eye up through the Spittal The way you have caught the light casting shadows is wonderful.......Top marks.....By the way, I have a picture of Glenshee without snow in my gallery....All the best...Mick.

"Spittal" must be a geological feature? Like a mountain or ravine? Whatever the case, it's apparently quite photogenic, even considering the lower-resolution cameras available in 2004 (I'm writing from the future in 2012). :D All that snow reminds me of where I live, although we like to say we've completed our "mountain removal project."
