This day provided better lighting, and a bit more detail, than the one with Blue , swimming the Rio Grande. However,it's still Mexico on the left, and the U.S.A. on the right, down in the Castolon area of Big Bend, National Park. Texas.

Wow, a fantastic shot. Great clarity & colors. The blackened shadows on the rock canyon along with the hint of blue water & reflections adds so much mystery to this image. Excellent work & 10/10.

Ditto to all the above. I especially like the clarity of the reflections in the still water.

Not much going wrong here – the very strong shadows play off the bright colours and sharp focusing very well. A fine shot indeed.

Beautiful shot Doug! You're right about the lighting being better, it is just gorgeous in this one. I love how the rock is making that canyon style formation there, and the reflection in the water is also stunning. Wonderful shot!

Fantastic capture Doug !
Always great to see millions of years work captured in a 1600x1200 matrix -especially when captured well, as you are very good at doing.

Great picture! I can't but ask if you photoshoped the sky and reflection though, it almost seems too prefect. If not kudos on an excellent shot!

^ I think it's just the saturation and clarity of a sky with no smog. I love the clear cut lines of the impenetrable shadows. A little cool mystery around the bend
