This was our first snowfall last year, and I'd never seen clouds so black or so low. The sun broke through a bit of cloud to light those trees long enough for two shots. I added the snowflakes, mostly as an experiment.
AVATAR BY PJ............... i've been so bad about commenting on your photos. believe me when i say i look at them all. feel free to NOT comment on mine. Please Visit My Gallery
I like how you get branches and saplings to strengthen the unity of your photos by leaning into the picture. You obviously have an excellent rapport with mother nature. There's an unusual charm to the colors too. Despite the dark clouds you caught a patch of sunlit ground on the left to contribute cheerful yellows. I particularly like how the little dark tree on the left shows up against its brighter background. Very interesting photo!
I'm not sure what I could possibly say, Doug, that Edwin hasn't said more eloquently than I ever could. Since this site is called "Caedes Desktop Wallpaper", I'd say that you have the perfect seasonal desktop wallpaper. I've seen 1000 Hallmark greeting cards that don't come close to the artistry of this shot.
Dark, with color AND snowflakes! I am especially enjoying those snowflakes because my feet are warm. Thanks, I am putting this one up on my desktop right now.
