this is one of my favorite places to look for pictures and yesterday the fog made it especially inviting... whenever the fog moves in we blame it on chatham since it usually comes in here first...

A beautiful, serene shot, Mary, with perfect lighting and atmosphere. I like the red marker-post, a nice touch of primary colour to contrast with the more muted shades. Just lovely! Well done.

Quite lovely, Mary; setting a wonderful mood and a gentle and soothing ambiance with the fog, lighting and subdued colors except for that one exciting spot of red in a very well composed image that draws my eyes around the frame.

A lovely atmospheric shot Mary. I like the way the eye is drawn to the greater light towards the top left and then pulled back again by the red marker on the right.

Yep this is the one we all see when we go through your gallery. The serenity of this shot just draws you in. Water and fog are such a good combination that when you can get them together it's good to take advantage of the opportunity. I feel that the image could benefit from less foreground, so the boats move to the 1/3 point, a visually pleasing location. For me, I would have cloned out the buoy and the white thing on the beach, but then maybe it wouldn't have been so popular! Kudos.

Great control of the contrast and the colours. The glow of the sun leaking through the clouds and fog, adding some tone to the trees and water is very effective.
