"Where there is perhaps a province in which the photograph can tell us nothing more than what we see with our own eyes, there is another in which it proves to us how little our eyes permit us to see." ~Dorothea Lange
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, His eternal power and Godhead;... Rom 1:20
Much better compositionally Dave. The offset focal point does indeed kick up the visual dynamics more so, in my very obtuse and humble opinion.
Good colour and saturation. Good use of repetitiveness (whaa? that's a true say here ... serious) of form and shape.
It allll works well.
And but of course, thanks for sharing this look for those of us that have brown and grey as their collective colour palettes at the moment. Spring is coming soon. :o)
"Think what a better world it would be if we all, the whole world, had cookies and milk about three o'clock every afternoon and then lay down on our blankets for a nap." - Robert Fulghum
The clarity is very good in this and most of your other flower photos, but I think you're having difficulty with exposure and contrast. The bright light on your subjects makes parts of them wash out in over-exposure while other parts of them languish in darkness. I suggest trying a polarizing filter that screws on the front of your lens. It cuts glare while making the colors really pop. Somebody gave me that tip a couple years ago, and it's helped my work quite a bit. Flowers make such delightful subjects, don't you think?
