I was holding onto a branch of a tree to lean in to take the shot, right after I snaped the picture the branch broke and I fell about 10 feet down some rocks. I ate it hard!!! So this one comes with some scars.
I'd say it was worth the danger of falling to capture a fabulous shot like this one. Must be a male showing showing off his beautiful neck. Great capture:-)
I hate to say this, but I think it was WORTH the pain? this is an outstanding photo!! And the look on that little guys eye..so cute..As long as you didnt break something on yourself...other than your mental anguish and a few bruises?...then its worth every moment! I LOVE this photo!! Bravo!!!
I don't know about it being worth the pain, but not knowing about what was about to happen I would have done the same. I know you ended up with some scars, what about your camera?
Excellent all the way. 10 by me.
What a capture Sean! So sorry that you fell :(. This is a must see full size to appreciate the great clarity ,detail and color in this image. Outstanding in my book. Show off those scars proudly! You earned them! Thanks :~)
Hi Sean
well no matter the consequences...you made a wonderful shot of this lizzard.
So i guess it was worth the pain...so heal quickly and hit the road again.
There are more of these little fellows waiting for you to shoot and for us to watch.
well done.
( photoimagery is the only real photographer... grinn He asks how the camera is doing )
awesome... beautiful lizard! never seen anything like it! Great job.. sorry to hear of your injuries but i think it is worth it as this shot is amazing! :) I woulda done the same thing ;)
Thanks for the encouraging words everyone! I was actually more concerned about the camera than myself during the fall. :) And yes I'm fine and so is the camera.
He he, that’s the sort of thing that happens to me too. It’s one of the best lizard shots I have seen, he’s sharp and colourful and stands out so well against that blurry background.
Agree with Robert ahead of me here. Love that pink chin! Sorry for your pain but I'll take just a little pleasure from it today. That chin does bring a smile.
Hi, Sean. It is a beautiful picture, rich in color and detail. And I'm glad to hear that both you and the camera survived to tell the tale. :) But I have to laugh at what the lizard must have been thinking as it took in the scene of watching some guy dangling precariously in the branches, snapping pictures of him, then <crack ... BAM!>, he watches the whole kit and caboodle go crashing into the ground. I can just hear the lizard thinking, " O ... k! That settles it, people are weird."
That's a cool Shot. I'm in Florida right now, and I saw one of those the other day. When it puffed out it's neck like that I almost shouted, It was so cool.
Anyhow, that is a great shot!! The color is good, the focus is right on, and the blurriness of the background even though it's bright, and the angle, all lend it the feel that you were, indeed, high up off the ground when you took it. great job! Take a look at my pics, I only have two, and let me know what you think. I'm trying to get some more comments on them.
