This photo was taken on my trip to Alaska on the road out of Talkeetna. Since so many books and guides say the mountain is only visible 1/3 days of the year, I feel very lucky to have whitnessed the mountain on a clear day! Standing at 20,320 feet, Mt. McKinley is the tallest mountain in North America. For those of you who are curious, the smaller mountain to the left is known as McKinley's "son", Mount Hunter.
