Going barefoot is the gentlest way of walking, and can symbolize a way of living. It's the feeling of enjoyment beneath our toes...it removes the barrier between us and nature...(AdeleCoombs,Barefoot

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings:
And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill.
That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes.
We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not.
Yet so the universe was wrought .
Thought is another name for fate.
Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.
This is wonderful! I do agree with alexis518 to some degree; old paintings in this style don't tend to look so bright. Maybe you could try another one with the saturation turned down a touch. But keep this one here too!
I like this very much. It has this Vermeer brown-duskiness and then sunshine lemons. I'm very partial to lemons and their sunny color. It is an old fashioned and lively combination.
Hey Stormdancer,
Great capture here, you managed to fill the entire pic with something interesting to look at, very well done, you make yer' mama proud !!

Great stuff, reminds me of some experiments I did last summer, but you did it better I might add... I too must say that it's a tad bit too bright with the lemons in this particular lighting / exposure. Everything else is still fabulous! Especially the placements of the objects is masterful. Kudos!
I missed the opportunity to comment on this back when you first posted it, but it is *still* one of my favorites. LOVE the colors, the contrast, the whole set-up.
