Nymphalidae Nymphalinae
Polygonia c-album (Linnaeus, 1758)
Comma Butterfly
Its called C album or comma because on the outside of the wings you can see a white "C" on his wings
Well perhaps the birds take off on you Paul, but you have a way with the butterflies and insects...beautiful colors on this specimen and nice clear shot...well taken.:Pat.
An equisite butterfly picture...colors are,as said before, lovely, and the flower/leaves it's resting on makes the picture all the more better. My 10/10 today, great job.
excellent lighting on this one.. those colours look so warm and fill this image with a happy and cheerful spirit :) excellent details and focusing.. its wings have the most beautiful shades and "decorations" :) they resemble leopard's spots.. or whatever, i always confuse leopards, gepards, jaguars and all those similar wild cats :D
this is a beautiful animal ,thank you for sharing this image with us :)
have a nice day! :)
Groeten, Fred.
"Just living is not enough," said the butterfly.
"One must have sunshine, freedom, and a little flower."
