there are some Pic's you just cant seem to let go for some odd reason, this would be one of those.

the orig was horrible, yet the experience to get close was too cool! the picture came out drap 2D pasty looking thing.

there is no HDR software here like most would think. this was done before i discovered HDR. just hours of play in photoshop with level, contrast, color correction. then a lot of dodge, burn, saturation tools...lol not to bad so i posted it. this thing has been in a folder done for atleast 4 years. its never seen Caedes...i dont think anyways.

I think this is very well done whatever you did to it. I know what you mean about letting go of one - I'll try a lot before I let go.

Damn good outcome buddy!!! Nice and clean with good color and when saved and enlarged the clarity is very high. After dodging and saturating I'm glad you didn't "burn" this one:):) I'd say go for another one and lets see if you can find one that's even older:):)

Well, we, your viewers.. will reap the visual rewards of your efforts here, Chris.

Exceptional work both; behind the lens and in the editing chair.

And.. a +fav for me.

(p.s. I really.. really.. really, wish that I could view your other shot now; "Sandhill Crane".)

Just wonderful, Stylo a S&F for me. This is why you shouldn't get rid of images, you see a lil something in. With some tweaking skills and time out pops a masterpiece. I love how the cranes blend in with the dry grass. The neutral tones and clarity are an eye catcher.

You did real good my friend. These Sandhill Cranes fly through here and stop at the wildlife refuge for awhile but they are always too far in the distance to get a good photo. I only have a 300mm lens and that makes them look like little ants in the distance. Even with my SX50 Canon they are much too far away...end up being real digital gook. These are a pleasure to look at.
