Nice character study, Chris.

And am loving the blacks in your photo here.

I do detect.. some slight stuff going on in the background. Which is my segue to wondering what editing magic you might have performed in post processing?

That said..

+favs for me.

And, but.. of course.. thanks for sharing this one with us.

---Just a Drifter passing by in the night--

Chris, by the look in his eyes I wouldn't feel myself at ease if I had encountered this person in the night, ☺ .
Perfectly portrayed however!
Would be a perfect entry for the Wednesday B&W challenge (BWC), my friend.

I was wondering, as i browsed about a bit, seem to not matter anymore? rules of the COC change?

it was my understanding we could only use what we shot, any other material used from other sources, if it was even a small portion, that had to be stated in the narrative as to where it was from. due to copyright protection laws. i dont see any harm in using some from a free domain site that allows it. I myself used the Vintage paper for backgrounds to the two poems i have up.

Any and all parts of my pictures come from my camera...which makes it very challenging at times when i need a "Item" for a manipulation. thank you Bo(my dog) for letting me use your baseball in the Pitcher Window post.

anyone here can rest assure anything in my gallery came from my camera! My imagination! any and all parts of the manipulation! as those were the rule i thought i had to obey by. maybe im wrong? even if i am, i will continue to do so. thats the challenge of photography and editing, The Stylo Way!

He looks menacing enough. The title is Gaelic but I have never heard that name. Great image Chris.

Tall, dark, and dangerous. Exceptional photograph, Chris!

The spelling of his name is very close to a Gaelic name that means "descendant of the hard hero or hardy warrior". Seems to fit, no?

Good job Chris. If anything is going on in your image my eyesight wouldn't detect it anyway. That's the beauty of getting older. It makes everything smooth out. I like the dark look of this overall.

yes it fits, no doubt!

for those that like history:

here

here

here

My family lines were in in the America's by 1681(its documented) seen and fought in every war here.

most become settlers near a small town in KY and buried in a Cemetery in Webster County KY "Zion Brick Church"

one more interesting fact:
here

documented wise? I can get back to Thomas Crowley 1458-1555 born: Wilton, Northants, Ireland. (which there's a little confusion there. dies: 1555 in Swalcliffe,Kent,England. interest long life for those times. the birth date and death place which is near Whilton Northampon seems to hold some clues. since i read its called Northant for short? many over the yrs have looked for this connection. Father to Thomas most likely used O'Cruadhlaoich...idk!

hard to tell with as many people looking for it. someone would have figured it out. maybe one of you might have a clue?

all the rest of them have been located and with document proof...back to 1458. clan wise?...11th century maybe further.

My grand fathers name was Emmitt Dalton Crowley...no thats not a typo...beats me! i didnt find this connection to the famous Dalton's. seems to be some folklore in my family.(doesnt surprise me) thats what started the quest in the first place.

as for the Picture above...Ive been called worse...lol

Really good photo -- and you do get the feeling (probably from the composition) that this mysterious character is just 'passing through'. :-)
