Unbelievable colors, and I know this isn't fudged because there's nothing harder than creating a graduated water reflection. I've tried. I just stole a copy for my screen, thanks.
If you've ever wanted to make a difference but found it hard to believe that one person could... check out the Kiva Team Caedes discussion thread and discover that anything is possible.
the sky was much of what you seen but subdue to a point i was going to trash the shot. the hue was altered quite a bit and im sorry Nikoneer i did fool you with the graduated in that sky, it was a couple of layers in different modes to pull that effect off...yet at the same time, without a little color there? i probably wouldnt have bothered. its also painted its way across the water as one would expect..but with a layer mask in PS i gave the same effect of hue within the fog and the water(even the lilly pads) to match the sky. i did erase some of it off the wooden peir. the one bonus i did get that wasnt me, the Chromatic Aberration..or color fringe off the leaves..came out the same color...that was a delight to my surprise...sort of added to the effect of the over all hue. the other thing really missing? is clarity...but is there clarity in the morning fog off a lake other in in the foreground? so thats the reason it got posted...and didnt trash the edit. now i will say this...lots of healing brush use to get rid of all the mosquitos that left little and large dots all over..lol it was a fun edit! Enjoy
The result is beautiful. Layer masks and such are mumbojumbo to me but that does not prevent me from appreciating the result. The layer of mist is a real bonus for this early morning sot.
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
