Wow, what a wonderful scene! The castle with the clouds and the background, spectacular!!! Great shot, Love how the castle comes up from those dark trees. Once agian; great shot!
I agree that this is a good shot. Your balance and the distance captures is impressive. And your vantage point is very attractive. By the way if you can adjust the highlights of the close by trees it will lighten up the whole shot. I feel like half of the shot is in dark :)
"just" a pretty castle? it is a fantastic castle...absolutely gorgeous. The way you took this photo..with the castle looming in the front and then the pretty grasses and mountains..water..the whole thing with the beautiful sky..its just one gorgeous photo. I like the dark trees in the front...it kind of makes the eye realize how much drama there is in this photo..very very wonderful job!!
Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink.
But if you must lie,
lie in the arms of the one you love.
If you must steal,
steal away from bad company.
If you must cheat, cheat death.
And if you must drink. . . .
drink in the moments
that take your breath away. . . . .
"Pity? It was pity that stayed Bilbo's hand. Many that live deserve death. Some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them, Frodo? Do not be too eager to deal out death in judgment. Even the very wise cannot see all ends. My heart tells me that Gollum has some part to play yet, for good or ill before this is over. The pity of Bilbo may rule the fate of many."- "I wish the Ring had never come to me.
I wish none of this had happened..." "So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to us."-Gandalf
This is a nice shot from the bridge. It would be a fabulous shot if only you took the time to enhance it in photoshop. It needs a fair amount of contrast work. All the information is there, you just have to bring it out. I'd try levels... move the gamma a bit to the left and the right level control a bit to the left to bring out detail in the shadows. Then you need to play with the left hand slider, moving it slightly to the right. You could also fool around with the shadow/highlight contrast adjustment. Your sky is beautiful and isn't blown out so you can do great things with it. You might want to use the dodge tool set at lime 15% to bring out detail in the trees as well. Good luck with it. My daughter was married here and I love this part of Germany.

Neuschwanstein is indeed pretty...and was pretty expensive too, not only because of its artificial grotto inside. Bavaria's King Ludwig II loved building castles - until the money ran out. His death in a nearby lake is still kind of a mystery. (Sorry for the history lesson!) This particular castle, located in southern Bavaria, is one of Germany's top tourist spots. But interestingly enough I've never seen a picture of it in sunny weather (except on those kitschy postcards)!
Neuschwanstien is my favorite castle. You captured it perfectly. It is my dream to go back and visit Germany again and retour this castle. Wonderful job!!!!
