The pressure and force caused by 3000m (9000ft) thick layer of moving ice has given this granite cliff it's form. Tampere, Finland, Europe. Comments appreciated.
Wow. This is such a unique perspective: from the thumbnail it looked like ice, and when I was viewing the image full--size, it sometimes seemed to be water frozen in time! The surface is smooth, and the lichens growing one on top of the other give it a depth unlike anything! Beautiful shot.
