The bright yellow of the inside of the Blackbird fledgling's beak encourages Mum to feed him [or her!] The brightest, biggest and most noisy gets the biggest worm.

I quite agree, Ron. Even worms have to be paid for by somebody. Maybe the little birdie will earn his keep by waking me up with his beautiful song when he eventually flies the nest.

What a great shot! Love the subject and the blurred back ground leads my eye to the bright yellow rimmed mouth of the little bird. Nature's colors are captured very well here!
