Of all your submissions to Caedes.net, this is now my favorite. I like how the different pieces each show a different amount of light reflection and focus. Nice work!!
hm..i do have two others, and they don't have as much glare, but they also don't look as good...how about if i just email it to you and then tell me what u think, if you think its better i guess ill put it on. (can u tell me ur emial adress?)
the perspective and the layout on this photo are what make it so pleasing... and you take a fairly simple and common subject and make it interesting. the one thing that i think takes away from it is the lighting, which is perhaps too drastic, and the background, which seems to have been ignored.
but the feeling of being on the board with the pieces, as if looking from the eyes of one of them, is awesome.
Haha! thanks alot Bob. What do u mean "the background, which seems to have been ignored"? Im not sure what u mean but i tried to get the BG completly black...didn't work =(..(actually if u look really close, in the background u can see my couch in the basement)...
actually, no i didnt have that in mind, i was just speaking of the king in the game of chess. but while ur talking about it, did u know there talking about World Peace and were already starting to dived the jerusalem temple! no lie, the president was in some kind a meeting for world peace. wow, thats incredible
umm....yea it is......this is a cool pic,i like the light in the background..was it from a fireplace..it reminds me of when me and my dad would play chess in the winter in front of a fire...those were the days, now excuse me for i must go and get a hot coco and...o wait its like 78 degrees out.....
i have come to believe that the whole world is nothing but an enigma.a harmless enigma that is made terrible by are own mad attempt to find is underlieing truths.
I'm with reddawg. The photo is beautiful, but I think it would be better with dim fill lighting from above. The only problem is that I can't see any detail of the pieces.
