I was originally going to use the title, "Evening at the Lakefront", because the colours remind me of a sunset at the shore. But, decided I liked this one a bit more, courtesy of our friend Les (purmusic) . Thanks Les :) This is my entry for the current "night-time" contest.

Comments are most welcome and appreciated. Best viewed full screen. Thanks for looking my friends! Lori

This is really lovely and the nighttime theme comes through beautifully - the little sparkles look like like strings of outdoor lights. This is a beauty - good luck in the contest Lori!

Gorgeous spiral ... the tiny lighted parts remind of a string of holiday lights. The colors blend so well together too. Wonderful contest entry, Lori ... best of luck.

They do look so much like blossoms in a garden, illuminated at night by tiny lights... or perhaps a school recess of firefly children playing a game of "Follow the Leader." The backyard astronomer in me also sees this image of yours as a gaseous nebula in space, dotted with newly-born stars (which is where all respectable baby stars come from, y'know). If it is a nebula it could have been one created by artist and author, Maurice Sendak. Good luck with the contest Lori. A beautiful and fitting entry that's going directly into my favorites file and onto my desktop pictures folder.

The first rule is: Remove the lens cap! The second rule is: Always take a litter bag in your car - if it gets full, you can just throw it out the window.

That's one perfect fractal right there. 1. It's a spiral - my favorite structure in the world. 2. it's got fantastic gradient: I love the colors. 3. It's glowing!!! I've never seen a fractal glow this good! :)

I found this one when looking through the Night Time Contest just now (I only just found out where those little contests were, believe it or not!)

The colours are lovely, set off by those little spotlights; it made me think of a hotel garden with clusters of lights here and there at night.
