I've decided on this one for the "Framing" competition. It's simple, but, I think it fits the theme. Hope you enjoy! Comments and critiques are always welcome and most appreciated. Thank you my friends! :) Lori

That cute little fellow has been "framed". He says he didn't do it. I like this transparent umbrella offering us a view of a pretty blue sky with nice puffy clouds. Best of luck to you in the contest.

Oh my gosh Lori...at first I thought this was a real photo! And then I suddenly looked at the birdie closer and saw this is one of the stained glass creations of yours! This is just so beautiful! A wonderful idea for the contest too. I can't imagine how you got this rain effect on the glass! Fantastic. Verena

Very original, Lori. Sure do love the umbrella pattern with the sky in the background & the bird is so cute. I'm wondering how you added the rain also ... it looks so real. A wonderful contest entry ... best of luck.

I'm delighted to see it come back, Lori. I actually don't see it as a transparent umbrella, that idea brought by the fact that the bird is sitting on a strut, but rather an umbrella with no "Skin" at all. It reminds me of the kind of illusions made so popular by the work of Rene Magritte... whimsey mixed with reality that makes us stop and think. I love it. I'll be cheering for you in the contest.
