When I was a kid in the mid- to latter-50's, there was a popular style of manufacturing of a wide variety of objects, from bell Christmas ornaments to metal drinking glasses that had dark coloring and pronounced highlights, the colors being red, blue, green, and gold. The field areas in this image or yours, Lori, remind me of that style; very contemporary and hard-edged. You've softened it nicely, however, with what looks like long, thin lines of neon, another icon of the 50's. Takes me back to when I was thin, my joints, worked, I had all my teeth, and life was good.
