Isn't that a Blue Morphos? If so.....NOT a simple capture and I bow to you! They are only blue on the one side...and when they land, usually close their wings. Very clear and just excellent!
Good detail and close shot on this blue morph Ted. I love to photograph butterflies. They are usually in places where I have to climb to reach hem. The blue morph is so much fun to capture though due to their awesome coloring. They certainly grab the viewers eye and this one is no exception!!
Oh, thanks also for the recent visit to my gallery and leaving such warm, fuzzy words on ~rose-scented bath~. I had fun (and a lot of luck) in doing this and I am glad that you were able to share in my pleasure. I will be sure to give hubby your message to :) I am also glad that you had a chance to view ~cardinal country~. I have a plethora of cardinals in my yard and they are fun to TRY and photograph :)). They are quick critters and one must have tons of patience and time to catch them. I am grateful that you were able to enjoy this brightly colored feathered freind of ours also.
Your support, comments and critiques are deeply appreciated. Drop by anytime, the door is always open and the coffee always on :~)
wow-- that is breathtaking! I am in awe of the excellent timing you had taking this picture-- he was welcoming you with open wings!! His color is amazing and his form is that of an elegant fan!! Great work!
Mimi.beautiful critter! Is this a manipulation? I ask becuse it appears to be placed onto foliage and not really on it at same time......something missing.shadowing,??? anyway, good job
