After climbing up Mt Major, the hard way, you get a beautiful view of Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire. Unless you are young at heart or an athlete, take the easier route. The view is tremendous as the lake is very big, 72 square miles, 253 islands and the drive around the lake is 182 miles. In the background are the White Mountains.

The couple had just made it up from the easy side and were enjoying the view. I was trying to recover from our climb. We also met a couple who compete in running up and down mountains.
