The waves were breaking left to right, so I did a panorama of the wave breaking and followed it. Almost too close. I did save the camera.

Ted, In the past I took similar captures. In such conditions the air is filled with very tiny invisible salt water droplets that can ruin your photo equipment (in particular the attached lens) quickly. In order to prevent this, my camera and lens were protected by a plastic bag with only an opening for the lens.
Splendid capture however. I can almost taste the salt on my lips!
