Our history museum did a show on old toys from the 50s and 60s. An older person will recognize these. I wonder if our youth would know they are not a plug-in?

Ted, I was born in 1945. When these toys became popular with children, I was basically too old for it. My youngest brother (born in 1955) did get toys similar to the ones in the picture.
I think he was happy with it. I'm not sure though, because as a older teenager I had become completely different interests, 😁 !

I remember about half of them but, then again, my one-parent family was exceedingly poor, and I rarely got the toys my older brothers got (because my birthday was a week before Christmas, I was often told the reason there were no birthday gifts was that *There will be something extra under the tree*; never actually happened), but when I was a dad, I made sure my boys (all we had in my family was boys; for 57 years!) had a huge set of Lincoln Logs, and a large handcrafted case to keep them in that would fit under the bed.

Awesome throwback image Ted. Being born in 1950, I very much recall the Lincoln Logs and Tinker Toys but I am not familiar with the other brands. Maybe they were only available for different parts of the country but either way I love your display here:)....way to go Nik:)
