I can almost hear them ringing Dave. A great capture with the bells on music. Silver Bells is one of my favorite Christmas songs. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
happy christmas Dave, hope all is well in your part of the world. gorgeous card and i like the fracticaluauslskaakdjfdk (lol)filter in this instance :-)
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Noticed your image here right off and out of the posting gate, Dave.
Would echo all of the above.
And I particularly like the duo-tone look ('golds' and 'silvers', sort of.. kind of). Quite in keeping with the colour palette of the holiday season that is upon us.
Judicious application of the filtering as well.
Caveats?
Well, looked hard.. and at all resolutions sizes available. Text is still distinguishable on the sheet music. Composition is good good. There are still details in the highlights.
If anything, and I am guessing here that you took a series of shots.. perhaps, moving back ... some. (And most definitely, 'some' being the operative word here.)
Doubt you can avoid any mergers with the outside frame, still and with that said.. curious if the visual impact would be the same or not if you pulled back with your camera.
Possibly shifting camera position to the right (some) as well. The thought being that that compositional Weight/Balance is a tad offset/imbalanced with respect to the, and simply put.. 'brighter' section in the left-hand side.
Mind you, the center portions of the top of the bells and their respective placements within frame.. recovers this compositional note more than well enough.
That nonsense aside..
Very nice work.
And..
Here's to a safe and happy holiday for you and yours. :o)
