I took this Sunday After a long day. I've had the flu, and just decided to go for a drive and could not resist a shot of the local lake.

If practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect, then why practice?
You have a lot of lens flare which is not too unusual when shooting into the sun. I may be wrong but I think it could be more from a lens that's in need of cleaning. The flare in the foreground grass is a major distraction and could easily be cloned out. The sky flares are quite a bit trickier.
A touch of Contrast,Sharpen, and then brightened up again with positive Gamma make a substantial difference.
That's a tough shot anytime. You did well, but it can be improved.
