Sandi, I have tried and tried to get a good fog shot and have not been able to. You did with this shot! I also like the way the sun is coming throught the trees.

Sandi, one will have to get up pretty early in the morning to top this. What's that old saying: "The Early Bird generally has sleep in it's eyes." Something like that. I see scenes like this during the deer season, but I'm generally watching for that Thirty Pointer. This looks so wonderful with the light seeming to be originating from tree, almost like spot light. This shot lets you imagine what's out there. Very nice post.

It's amazing how sometimes in this world we can see things that we didn't think possible. This looks like one of those moments, Sandi. I'm glad you were there to capture it!

Beautiful shot, Sandi! The sun is warning the fog that it won't be there long now that he's rising. Wow, you leave early! lol

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

how nice, dear Sandi, the mist is a special touch, and gives at first glance the feeling that´s something on that place below, and not the ground and the mist, as we, in full view may see_very interesting "optical illusion" _ the trees and the early sun are a must!! :))

This one caught my eye even as a small thumbnail. I spotted that tiny dot of light with what looked like crepuscular ray emanating from it, and opened it with real anticipation. I wasn't disappointed. I hope you don't mind if I pull a copy and crop it top and bottom to make a pano of it for my wallpaper folder? The line of trees and dawn light, not to mention that gorgeous center, begs for the emphasis that only a pano treatment can give.
