Once Again from the Calendar Gardens, using the 70-300 sigma zoom. I mentioned that I took some pictures of the sweet lady (Beth DeFries) that donated the property for this wonderful project. I delivered the pictures to her yesterday and much to my pleasant suprise the Master Gardener (Jon Catrell) was also there so I was able to sit and talk with both of these wonderful people for at least an hour. It was very interesting, and they shared some pictures of the gardens when it was first being started with the plantings. No cement laid yet just the planting. Also they gave me the copy of the orginal essay that was used to present the idea to the parks dept. I feel like I have known these wonderful people for a long time, and felt so honored that they would share all of this with me. I mentioned to them that I would love to meet them both at the gardens one of these days to take a couple of pictures of them both. They seemed to like the idea too. I hope we can pull that one off, I think it would be fitting. sandi♥

This an absolute stunner. The colors are amazing in this, and your frame adds the finishing touch. Definitely a 10. Anything less would be an insult.

Top of the line Tigz. It doesn't get any better than this. Add your name to the list of the special photographers on this site. There are several. This makes you induction into their group final. I faved it just so when I think I have a good photo, I can look at this and try again. Have a good week.

I don't know which is more beautiful Sandi, the flower or the butterfly LOL. The detail you've captured is perfect in this. I bet you did enjoy talking to Miss DeFries learning of the history here. I know she enjoyed talking with you also and seeing her generosity being captured and displayed for everyone here to enjoy .

This is a fantastically detailed and well-exposed shot Sandi. I have some butterflies to post myself, taken with the Sigma lens, but I can't rival this. You must have a very steady hand if you didn't use a tripod! The proboscis feeding on the flowers is just brilliant.
