My other half went to Cadilac, Michigan mushroom hunting and this was the view from the motel.

It was hot and dry up there, and there were some forest fires which helped to create this dramatic view.

He has taken control of the Nikon D3000, and he used 55-200 zoom lens for this shot.

I resized it, and did a little bit of cropping to get a blurred tree out of the top of image, and did a bit of sharpening, and added the light framing.

He is curious what you think of his effort, and so am I.

Thank you in advance for your comments, and I have another one or two captures of this scene to share later.

I will let you know that they did not find alot of roomies, but what they did find were huge! Some of the biggest I have ever seen, but of course they ate them this morning for breakfast! They filled a Walmart shopping bag to the max. I did not get any. :(

I think Harry did a fabulous job Tigz. I am sure the camera was still under your influence somewhat. I like darker tones and this one is right up my alley. You two make a great team but you knew that. :)
Did he find any mushrooms?

I went mushroom hunting once. I never got any, cause I couldn't get the traps set right. LOL. Nice sunset shot. I like the way the sun has made a big stripe in the water.

Methinks you have to buy him a camera too.

The reflection and the colors are great and the frame is the finishing touch.

You both did a good job on this one :o)

Excellent shot Sandi. For some reason when I look at the shot The Shroud Has Lifted comes to mind. Truly fine work on the shot and how you have presented it here.

Sandi ... your husband did a wonderful job of capturing this sunset. The firey red colors are breathtaking & I like the golden reflection of the sun on the water.

I've been morel mushroom hunting & have only found a handful so far. Beautiful image & thanks for sharing.

Very well done - the orange column in the water really plays well with the round sun and sun reflection shape.
