Another capture using the canon 70-300 Is USM lens, hand held. This was kind of reach for even that zoom. This has been cropped, and some postwork done.
I managed to get out of that hot work place in a little of 10 hrs today, but going in early tomorrow. In our dept. you go home when you get that day's orders done! Does not matter if your waiting on parts-yes it sucks big time!

What makes this image a little different is the long purple bloom. It is beautiful. Wish the other wing of the butterfly was more visible. I like the bright color of the insect. Nice. KEEP-PAH

Owd Momma is right about the wing Tigz but still a stellar photo.
I like the contrast in this one. I can't get the little devils to land here. I think they would burn their feet.

I love the composition and perspective of this shot! That people purple flower leads you eye to the flutterby like a bullet out of a gun and the orange contrast with the purple is stunning. This is magic :)

Think it's not amazing that the 'Buddleja davidii' is also called 'butterfly-bush', because it a paradise for butterflies because of the special nectar.
