(Main) contests->b/w challenge
One more of the big, and beautiful exotic cats at EFRC. I decided on B&W because I did care much for the color version. This will also be an entry for the B&W challenge.
I used the canon 40D and canon 70-300 IS USM lens, and it was shot through fencing. I seem to manage to get alot of acceptable images from that visit to cat camp, more than ever before.
I noticed that this seemed a bit over sharpened around the face/whiskers so tried to do a selective softening. I also used neat image to get this final result.
Just look at that tummy fur, tickle me why don't you. :)

Tigs.. it is sucha beautiful animal and well captured.. the B&W works well on this image I love it!!! Looks so cuddly ,. but i'll rather not try :)

Such a colorful cat in B/W is certainly an artistic approach in presenting this one Sandi. It really works well. I'll leave the tummy tickle for Bob. (BTY - Bob's snowman sweater is begging for a tickle too. lol)

The thing that goes the farthest, towards making life worthwhile, it costs the least and does the most, is just a pleasant smile.

Nice but I see the after effects from softening and especially the Neat Image. It's hard to do a fix after the fact. This should be done in post processing and kept at a bare minimum to avoid artifacting, the sharpening is always the last thing you do.

The b&w really suits this picture Sandi. Such a good composition. It makes the cat look almost able to be petted. Good picture for the challenge.
