While at the Calendar gardens late yesterday afternoon, the gentleman that lives next door told me I was more than welcome to sit on their balcony where they have 7 feeders set up.

For this capture I was standing on the stairs, and used my canon 70-300 IS USM lens, and used an ISO of 640.

This was edited in photofiltre studio, and Corel Paintshop Pro 6. I did some selective sharpening, to bring out some more details, and did alot of cloning to get rid of another white marking that is even more defined and brighter than the one you see here. It was behind his head and beak, I hope you can't see any of it, that was a challenge.

Thank you for commenting.

Good job with the cloning, Sandi. I don't see anything behind it's head. I like the color of the bokeh. Nice hummer shot.

Before opening your image, I was almost expecting to see a vehicle. This is much better and your fine tuning is spot on, Sandi.

A stunning image Sandi. You are so lucky to have such exotic, beautiful little birds on hand to photograph. The detail here is very good indeed.
