For me the textures and light are a perfect example of original thinking and creativity. This scene speaks volumes, it is very well done, a favorite.

I do love the coloured original but in B&W it sems to have an added glow and surealism which I find very appealing.

Sandi, I see still a tad of colors, but it's probably well chosen by you. If so, you've introduced a special and inventive trend to the BWC.
Hope your wish, expressed in your narrative, will come true. But as Lynn already have said in the BWC thread, think there will be, to a certain extent, a 'lack of enthusiasm' in this very busy time of the year.
If there will be a continued lesser response, think Lynn might choose for a 'voting break' (but a continued upload possibility), like already done before.
