I'm not sure what kind of plant this one is, but I spotted it at the Calendar garden last year.

Not sure I like the background in this one, but I thought I would share it anyway.

Have a nice day, and thanks for commenting.

I'm only guessing on the id here but they could be a type of Veronica, Amaranthus or a hybridized version of Culvers Root. They are most interesting - maybe Lyn or Mr. C. will be able to id them.

It makes a lovely picture Sandi - well composed.
It does resemble Veronica but I am fairly certain it is Pineapple Lily (Eucomis)
A summer flowering bulb.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Sandi, if the Calendar garden has botanic facilities or something like that, think it could be a species of the Eucomis. The Eucomis originates from South Africa. This one may be an American variant of the Eucomis montana or the Eucomis sparkling burgundy.
No guarantee however, my friend, 😁 .
Wonderful capture anyhow.

Edit: I see that Lyn in her comment also mentioned the possibility that it could be an Eucomis.

I know very little about flowers but I suspect Lyn and SEA are right...a beautiful and unique floral shot...nice one, SAS.

You said you were not sure you liked the background so I downloaded it and cropped it to emphasize the main flowers. It really added an impact to it. I cropped off from 1/2 inch of the tallest flower to the right and cropped down to about a 1/2 inch from to tallest flower. Those flowers are beautiful. You really have an eye for detail Sandi.
