I do not know if these Eastern Blacks are much like ours out here in the west, but ours are about 75% yellow and pretty much the largest butter here, easily spotted from 100 yards or more away. I love the soft bokeh you have employed here, Sandi, along with the pano treatment mimicking the long cluster of flowers (lilacs?). When I complete my backyard carpentry shop/ceramic studio I plan to celebrate by building butterfly houses for each neighbor on my block and those across the street. With the loss of bees that we are experiencing, perhaps we can keep pollination active by supporting butterfly propagation as well as for bees.
