This will be my contest entry (motion blur) and took it one step further and went with B&W. Very different for me. :)

I just want to remind you that you can still see the entries in the contest page, but to vote you need to go to to the discussion board/contests and pm Mimi of your selections to vote either by the artists name of the name of the entry. Mimi will post the names of the winners on that page. There is glitch with the contest, and this was her way of helping us to still make use of the contest option.

I hope you will submit your entries or at least vote.

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Very appropriate for the 'Motion Blur' contest, Sandi.
We now get the idea that the hot air balloon is propelled quite quickly by the air stream. If this air stream hadn't died down in time, it would have made a safe landing difficult.
That's why I'm glad you actually presented us with an optical illusion.
Inventive approach to this topic however!
I wish you the Best of Luck with it, my friend!

If you think you can't accept something, try to change it. But if this doesn't work, don't be frustrated, but give it later another try. The one who perseveres wins! Please CLICK HERE to see my journal! Feel free to save my images or to add them to your favorites.

The character, blur, and b&w nature of your shot, Sandi, immediately brought to mind the oldest aerial photo, a capture of circa 1860 Boston. I am guessing you were riding in the balloon whose shadow we see in the center. An interesting approach to the contest theme, one that I will likely find hard to beat. . . but I*ll give it a shot (unless the contest ends too soon).

I only just viewed this, great result ... reminds me of our journey in a hot air balloon in Cappadocia in Turkey ... really like the black and white too, bravo!
