The rich colors indicate that the park may not be starving anymore! lol. Sandi, that would be quite a drive from where I live, but it looks like a beautiful park to visit someday.
I actually remember this one from when I was there when I was maybe 12 or 13. I can't remember what I had for lunch, but this shot brings back a vivid memory of some fabulous hikes with my brothers and my parents. Nice shot, Tigs. If I had to do a critical analysis of your image, I wouldn't know what to say.

Those two shapes, just right of center and above the lighter soil, look like refugees from Easter Island. We have bluffs and cliffs that are similar, sort of, but not the trees you have here. I am betting it is cooler and more musical with birdsong. I love unique geologic formations so this is definitely a fave for me.
