Sandi, the artwork displayed on the wall has indeed the resemblance of an artwork of Marc Chagall. Although I can be wrong, honesty obliges me to say however that I suppose it's not created by Marc Chagall but by Wu Ching Ju. It has the name Imperial Concubine Of The Tang II - With slip. It's one of a series of three comparable artworks. The sculpture is created by her as well.
Of course I've searched for further information on the net and have found this: "Wu Ching Ju is a female contemporary Chinese painter and sculptor. She was born in the rural surroundings of Fonglin, Taiwan. She grew up fascinated by the ancient traditions of China. She soon became interested in the traditional art of flower arranging, which covers the disciplines of simplicity, elegance and harmony, which are essential ingredients of the ancient Chinese culture and spiritual well-being. She married with a from The Netherlands coming husband.
Wu Ching Ju moved from Taiwan to the United States (Los Angeles) , because her Dutch husband had been assigned to work there."
There are no individuals present, resulting in a tranquil atmosphere devoid of commotion. A crisp schoolboy runaway shot provides a pleasant sense of space, well executed.
