He was watching something so intently that he didn’t notice me approaching him. He is a White Faced Heron. This Heron has become more common because of mans activities. Our irrigated pastures and ditches have provided them with more breeding and feeding areas.

The heron is just beautiful, you captured every detail of the feathers. I like also the soft colours and the composition.

Holly Herons Robert! This is such a wonderfully detailed shot. I'm not sure what draws my attention more...the Heron or the needles on the tree. There is so much to look at. Perfection:-)
