Bravo, bravo Robert. Very nice and your description is to a tee. The background is so wonderfully blended and really highlights the dragonfly. Nice work:-)
I'm really into goth rock and new wave. My favorite band is The Birthday Massacre. The guy in my avatar is, in fact, a guy. His name is Mana from the band Malice Mizer.
This is one of those shots you just gotta see at full size. The composition of lines is so graphic, and the way they interact with the strong green background is really great. The dragonfly almost acts like another line element, but the wings give it such a sense of tension...like he's ready to zoom off. Very neat shot...and dragonflies are soooo hard to shoot!
Oh wow! Thats like th dragonfly is doing a ballet!!! Leaning forward with those wings! Its just wonderful that you are around those little critters!! You are so priviledged in that way. Are you near a lake or pond? Fantastic shot!! keep at it!, that green background is wonderful too....
Gee, I don't know how I missed this. What an exceptional example of photography. Focus, clarity, lighting and compostion are perfect. The delicate colors of the dragonfly remain true against the dominate green. 10.
Hi Robert. It appears you only received my vote on this and I forgot to come back to comment. I apologize. My comment is, "Wow!" ;) And, not only is the background good and the title superb and fitting, the light in that background really highlights the image. I ditto Darryl's "Bravo!"
What a fantastic capture!!!
I love it! I love the simplicity, the way the only focus is the dragonfly itself. The background is so lovely and soft which enhances the crisp lines of the twig and especially those wings!
Another great odo shot Robert and I second accipiter's comments; the simplicity and purity of lines and background colour being offset by the imminent action of the 'attack fighter'. Great work.
Cheers,
Steve.
