I found this little charmer in the Newcastle Botanic Gardens. I can see why some people devote their lives to growing and caring for these beauties.

fabulous. the photo is nicely divided up by the diaganal plant stalk. the purples go nicely with the palebackground also. i think its maybe a little under exposed though, the whites look quite grey.

Very pretty flowers. The clarity of your photo is great. I also like the framing. It accentuates the beauty of your photo just right.

The water drops add charm to this otherwise elegant image Robert. I like the framing & the green in the blurred BG adds a lot of dimension to the entire pciture! Well done. Thanks :~)

Do not like shots of plants, but had to stop at this one as I think it was the large aperture that made me backup. Ah but on closer inspection, I suspect the lasso tool. Maybe will bump into you at the Hunter Valley Gardens one day. Did I tell you this is my favourite of all the plant images on Caedes so far?

Thanks Stephen, I didn’t use the lasso tool, just crop and curves. Hunter Valley Gardens is a goer for me. :-)

Wow! This is an excellent job on a flower picture. You created a diagonal which works really well, and the flat depth of field isolates the subject perfectly. The frame you designes is simple, yet the colors are quite complimentary. I love this image.

Beautiful little orchid shot at an angle that best shows multiple blossoms. They can prove a tricky shot when going for more than one bloom.

Sorry, double post. Did want to comment on the frame, though. Very complimentary to the flower.
