Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

This is quite lovely Robert. I like the effect on the water you've used. Looks beautiful and this is an excellent capture of this duck. The detail is perfect.
Thanks to all who comment on pictures in my gallery. Please accept my apologies if I am unable to thank you each time, and please don't feel obligated to thank me.
Dynamite shot, really magnificant. The composition, lighting, colors, shadows, it's all just perfect. What an excellent post Robert. Thanks for sharing this.

You do not have to thank me if I leave a comment on your image...unless you really want to. ...this is a new thing to save time. =) All my thanks are becoming, "Thank you for the comments." over and over... If you want to thank me post a comment on one of my shots. I would appreciate it. Help me develop and grow.
I love the duck and I love the manip on the water, but the background bothers me for some reason. It's not the water and I feel like you were going for just a blurred effect, but my eye just won't follow it, given that it's the same color of the water. I keep wanting to make it water, or land, or water or....accckkkk.... I'm missing a horizon line of some sort...that's it :) It's really very gorgeous, of course :)PJ
Excellent capture Robert. Such clarity to this image and details of the duck. All those feathers are so sharp. The waters reflection, like a mirror, is superb. And the water has a thicker liquid appearance, which I like. The green shade of the water is splendid. It appears that your lens worked perfectly. Thanks for this beautiful duck and water :*>
A Mallard it certainly is Robert...We have hundreds of them near to me! The male is a beauty too!....This is an excellent capture..good crisp focus, and the reflections double the pleasure....The water is indeed extraordinary! but very nice.....I like this one, a lot!
I love birds, waterfowl in particular (but all birds), but I got to say, even though I love the subject of the photo, I think the color in the water really gets me. It gives it a very cool feeling. I makes me feel like fall is really setting in and she's getting ready to migrate south (being in the northern hemisphere that is...) Gotta put this one in the favorites. Great job, Robert!
Oh man... so you didn't manipulate this, other than using a different lense? Yeah I'm amazed with how the water turned out, as well. I like your subject: Ducks are always welcome on my desktop :)
