A beautiful and peaceful image, and it makes wonderful wallpaper. To nitpick a little, though . . . I'm not sure about the dirt mounds in the foreground; and the clouds could do with a bit of noise reduction, particularly in the larger versions.
"No method or discipline can supersede the necessity of being forever on the alert. We are able to apprehend what is sublime and noble only by the perpetual instilling and drenching of the reality that surrounds us." -- Thoreau
what amazing shade of yellow green for the fields, very vibrant. the lighting, colors and contrast are just wonderfull in this shot. you can feel the energy! a great capture Trisb^^
A fantastic shot Robert - it is a beautiful scene, and such a shame it is to be gone. although it would be a lovely place to live :) Although the colours are so vibrant I find it a most peaceful image, and the contrast of the gold and green against the sky is lovely. Good Aussie colours. :)
Progress shmogress, I'm sick of all the lovely farmland around here rapidly disappearing, especially around Maitland. At least your beautiful capture will be there to remind us of what was. Sorry about the rant, it really is a wonderful photo Robert.
Wonderfully rich and dynamic color and great detail in this beautiful scene. I like the contrast between the deep sky and the greens and the sloping lines of the overlapping fields. Very nice!
Delicious and rich are the words that comes to mind when I view this image Robert. It is quite beautiful. I love the sky and the yellows and the greens of the gentle rolling hills! What a capture you have for yourself and for us to enjoy! Many thanks for sharing it with me :~)
Anything that excites me for any reason, I will photograph; not searching for unusual subject matter, but making the commonplace unusual.

Beautiful shot and sad to hear it will be turned into a housing project. Please send us the photo of you out there protesting and lying down in front of the tractors. Very nice...even if you don't protest. Owd Bob will lay in front of the tractors for ya....need a bench of course.
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.

Don't tell me they are going to muck up this beautiful scene with houses? I have often thought of moving to Australia to get away from the sillyness over here but I guess the sillyness has seeped in everywhere. Glad you grabbed a picture of it for memory's sake. Very beautiful.

A visually appealing photo with splendidly vibrant colors. I don't call a housing project on this beautiful terrain progress, I call it regression. Where the h--- is man's senstivity to his environment and preserving of it's beauty? Everything is for the doggone dollar these days! I guess you got me going with that little detail. There otta be a law, a good law for once!

I've lived where I am now for over forty years (minus my forays into the world) .. I've seen alot of fields disappear .. including the one they built my highschool on .. o' so many years ago ... i understand why people get riled up .. but if the people got riled up BEFORE your own house was built, you'd be living under a bridge
A very eye-catching, blissfull image .. thanks for sharing .. :o)
What a beautiful array of colors and textures. The fields roll pleasantly and the sky moves as well. This is such a lovely capture and I wish I had the technical skills to be able to share more fully. Alas, I do not.
Suffice to say that for some reason, everything fits. It's pleasing to the eye, very pleasing indeed :)
Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand.

very nice photo. I like the the way the angles in the landscape take your eyes to the right of the photo, yet the silky sky takes them to the left. wd. nice coulour's
