Excellent macro image Robert. Thanks for that!

PS: The flower could the 'Jasminum Revolutum', but my wife disagree. To her it's a Hypericum (Perforatum). In Dutch called St-janskruid (don't know the English name). I don't argue about that as she's an expert, lol
:) Lol admiring the yellow and gold does not unsually come easy.(to a kiwi)
Exceptions must be made though - and for this wonderful macro I will. Such beautiful clarity, I am waiting for a drop of water to fall on my desk.
A splendid photo,Robert.
Fantastic, Robert and the lighting is superb too. Tell me the lens and I'll tell you the flower. :) I think the flower is called Snake Vine. lol She sure looks great against the darkened background.

you know what i love about this, that you can see every little detail on the flower and the leaves. i think she is right, it's a hypericum. always listen to the wife. thanks for posting!

Hey, no matter what lens you use, the results are always magnificent. Take for example this shot...beautiful as it floats in space. Love the lighting, water drops and the yellow hue. As always, top notch, Robert :^>

Ok, being the curious fellow that I am ... I looked at the largest resolution size. And then, kicked it up another 25%.
Stunning shot Robert. Technically superb. The DOF and focus is gorgeous.
Compositionally? Should be in a book as an example. I almost ... almost wanted to nitpick on the inclusion of the lower leaves. Yet, visually it stilled worked to my eyes.
Checking a grid/template of sorts ... the central portion of the bloom is practically spot on on a CW rotated 3 X 2 Thirds line intersection point.
Really nicely done. I enjoy this one a lot.
And but of course, thank you for sharing this one with us.

Yes indeed, it's St Johns Wort, we have them growing all over ORegon....I had some in my prior home here too. Lovely photo..I had not seen this before Robert..I love how the precious water droplets glisten like little crystals. It's just awesome. Verena
