Now that is unusual, the way the stamen curl out between the petals and back on itself. I suppose the flower wants to be certain that wind and passing birds and bugs will distribute its pollen. The Echeveria cactus is a rosette-forming succulent plant with foliage that comes in a variety of shapes and colors. The flowers appear on the top of stalks that grow from between the leaves, rather mimicking the way the stamen grow out of the flower... natural adaptation. A beautiful foof and a nicely set up photograph, Trixxie.

One does not need to look for a book showing many different kinds of flowers -just Kathy's gallery is more than sufficient. Very nice capture of this unusual flowers with a nice bokeh behind.
