We are being hit by storm Harper today, tonight and possibly lake effect snow tomorrow as it moves east. This is the view from my terrace a few hours ago. Currently we have a break in the snow with 1-3" to come this afternoon into tonight on top of the 5" we already have. Then tomorrow a unique feature of storms in the Great Lakes region - lake effect snow. As a storm pulls east it sends long plumes of snow down the length of Lake Michigan and they drift on shore - guessing where is the challenge. These usually only go about 5 miles inland from the lake which affects me but not my other family members who live further west. If we are the lucky recipients we could get 2-4" more during the day tomorrow.

Bundle up and keep taking these shots from your terrace Kathy.
We got hit again last night and I wish Harper would decide where he's going so the sun could shine again.

A very good winter capture Kathy, we are getting it too, and I already pushed snow earlier, to try to keep it from piling up too much.

The shifted polar vortex will be bringing lots of 'weather' and cold. This image captures that well.

Kathy, although wonderful, referring to Tick's comment, I really hope that Harper hasn't a ticket to cross the big pond, 😁 .
This photograph shows that one can use the 'advantages' for these severe wint'ry conditions.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

You captured the snow rather nicely Kathy, in fact, it looks like an drawing rather than a photo - sorry to hear you got 5+ inches of snow - we were fortunate and only got rain and very gusty winds - Great Capture!!!!!!!!!!
