This is my last spring at this location to photograph the blooming of the birch tree outside my condo. I'm moving in less than a month after living on this same street for 39 years so I'm a bit nostalgic about this birch. I've photographed it in spring, fall and winter when it's covered with heavy snow. I took this shot Thursday - we are under a winter storm watch for tomorrow with 4-8" of heavy wet snow possible. I don't think I've ever seen snow on the catkins before so we'll see what happens to all of our blooming tulips, crab trees, magnolias and daffodils after tomorrow.

I hope that the weather predictions (a winter storm with 4-8" of heavy wet snow) are wrong, Kathy! (😄)
Wonderful capture of these catkins. The beauty of this image is emphasized by the clear blue background sky.
